Please add a "Sell All Data" button to Universal Cartographics!

Right now (I think since the game first came out?) we are only able to sell exploration data to Universal Cartographics on a page by page basis (with 50 per page, and there seems to be no rhyme or reason to how that data is listed either). And when we do we then have to sit through the first discovery lists each time, which are pretty slow to compile. This means that submitting all of your data takes ages and is nothing but click-wait-click-wait etc, especially if you've just got back from a very long or round-the-galaxy trip.

Can you please add an option to sell all of the data at once as well, not just page-by-page? And the first discovery listing can be sped up by just showing it all at once after submission rather than line by line (if we want to take our time reading it afterwards then that'd be up to us).

Because it won't waste enough of your time.

That's how it used to work. However, they didn't count on people going on months long journeys and coming back with hundreds of pages of data. When you cash all that in at once you put an extreme load on the server and possibly time the game out. If anything went down during this time you lost all your data. So now, you can only submit bite sized packages.

In the beginning data was sold line by line. Think yourself lucky. ;)

What would be good, to add to your suggestion, is for a text file of all the current transactions be exported so we could look at it at our leisure.

I wish they could I have 3,000 system data. I still not home in the bubble I think I will have around 6,000 data when I get home.

Well, can't those bite-sized packages just be submitted automatically in sequence? Why do I need to click 10+ times to do it? If there's a "submit all data" button then they could just send the first batch, process that, send the second patch, process that, etc. Then just present the first discovery list at the end and done. I don't see how that would break anything or time anything out any more than doing it all manually would.

Of course it can be done, but someone has to do it. It was obviously quicker and easier just to restrict it to one page at a time, then they moved on to other things. Coding is all about balancing return for effort put into coding and someone at FD decided that was good enough - given the large amount of work they have left to do.

Or they just may not have thought to do it that way.

And I'm quite sure there's enough people working at Frontier to be able to manage and consider many suggestions and changes at the same time. I don't buy the "other suggestions are more important than your one" argument that people trot out here (as if it's their place to trot that out in the first place - this board is for suggestions for Frontier to consider, not other players to determine if it's worth their while. I'm sure Frontier can determine that on their own).

I rather have you whine about clicking tons of pages system data vs having us whine about Lag because you are able to drop all the data at one time. Plus the amount of players doing it at the same time. At least right now. If you get tired clicking pages of data. You can do something else.

Here what we would be whinging about if they had dump all Data. Combat lag, Server crashes, Hyperspace Jump Lag, Supercruse lag, Entering into planet and station Lag That what would happen if your idea take affect.

Face this fact Frontier has to balance their resource for everyone. So Everyone can play.

Sure, and it's their business how they do that. But you don't get to say that what you think are issues are more important that what I think are issues - so stop doing that. The point of this board is to make suggestions, not to have mobs of people who know nothing about how the game is developed decide what is or is not important for FDev to focus on. All that sort of dismissive nonsense does is add noise that makes it harder to focus on the suggestions.

It not what I think the issue is. It what the Devs explain to Us what the issue is. When a topic exploration data was ask about before. I do remember we had to sell one exploration data at a time and why it could not go beyond what is now. Problem is you did not do a lot of searching and made your own topic. Or you would of known this.

Sell all Data search

No, I'm pretty sure if I thought of it and you thought of it, they also thought of it. I know I'm not that smart (OK, I'm pretty smart but this is really obvious).

Did I not already say that? Oh, yes, I did.

Exploration does seem to get the short end of the stick. I'm just fed up of people who aren't the developers adding noise to these suggestion threads. It makes me think there really is no point in making suggestions if they're just going to be drowned out all the time by a hostile crowd of people claiming that their issues are more important or valid or worth considering.

That is how I feel.
You can make a suggestion and someone will pick up on a trivial point then it just mushrooms into "my gripe is world shattering". Or someone will say that they can code and the solution is easy peasy. Without realising that it is not the coders who make the decisions.
