Please add Nvidia App and Freestyle Filters support

I want to be able to add filters to the game for things like sharpening for example. I also want to be able to force DLSS presets which doesn't seem to even be possible using Nvidia Profile Inspector at this point. The game has been out for several months at this point, how is it not supported in Nvidia programs yet? Most games are supported right away on day one.

Afaik this is nvidia's side not frontier, so maybe you should ask them.....

You can go for DLSS4 using DLSSswapper (google it)

It is most definitely not on Nvidia as it requires input from the developer of the game to add support.

DLSS swapper can swap out the DLSS version but there is zero functionality in that program for swapping out the preset. So there is no way to use Preset J for the new Transformer Model of DLSS without being able to swap the preset.

If DLSS Swapper added that functionality that still doesn’t help with the functionality of the freestyle filters. And let me stop you before you say to go install Special K. No. That program never works right, always causes issues, whether it’s crashes or not properly hooking into the game. I’ve never once had an issue with freestyle filters in a game that’s supported.

The fact is that nearly every new release gets Nvidia App/Geforce Experience support so the fact that this game, after 4 months, still doesn’t have support is downright laughable. Planet Coaster and Planet Zoo both have support. Even Cities Skylines 2 had support right away and that was a bigger dumpster fire than this release.

Uhm if you switch to 310.2.1.0 you should end up with preset K (including transformer model), if not google it and get it right. (same goes for Preset J but this is 310.1.0) And dude, hold your horses :) I don't care if, how you run your game, i was giving some hints (since we are not to allowed to link to third parties here), take it or leave it.

Also the App is by Nvidia, if you don't if it is on Frontier's side (like Nvidia stating: yeah we are missing info from Frontier) ask them first.

I'm sorry you are wrong with the transformer model and how you activate it in the game.

You can use the transformer model from DLSS 4, using DLSS swapper in almost EVERY game that uses DLSS, and most of them have had no input from the developers, and man do they look great.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is a gret case of the transformer model making the game look exceptionally better (due to all the foilage) whilst having no input from developers.

I don't mean to sound horrible, but please, do your research before coming on and moaning about things that are simply not true.and incorrect.

310.2.1.0 uses preset J by default, actually it now uses the even better preset K. Meaning when you swap out DLSS with DLSS swapper, all the presets are using preset J / K and the transformer model. It doesn't need any input from the devs.

Looks like the newest version of DLSS automatically uses Preset K but as of like a week ago that version used J and you had to force it. Things change quickly.

That's not true, I've never had to force preset J in any game. It's always been the default since DLSS 4. Maybe you did something wrong, but glad you got it working.

We are never going to get the Nvidia App support if Frontier doesn’t start the ball rolling. “Ask Nvidia”. Dude I might as well go yell into the wind.

It is true, with 310.1, games were defaulting to preset J, and I had to force them to K with Nvidia Inspector. I know I’m not the only one that had to do that because I learned how to force the presets with Nvidia inspector by other people that were doing the same thing to get preset K.

Sorry I said I've never had to force preset J. You do realise that preset J is the same as preset K, just that preset K is a little bit more of a stable picture. They both use the transformer model. You've never had to force preset J, the transformer model has always been available regardless, when swapping to DLSS 4. You may have had to to force preset K, but preset J is a slightly more stable version of preset J anyway. So you were still getting the biggest uplift in picture quality, far bigger than from J to K, by going to preset J, by default as that initially swapped out the CNN model with the transformer one. If that makes sense.
