Please add some direction tool that points to Sol/Earth so the Holy may know which way is Makkah

Players,

Please Stop. I am trying tobe Serious and Professional and you trolls are ruining my genuine suggestion that would benefit hundreds, if not thousands, of devout Muslim players in the universe of Elite Dangerous.

Really? I don't think so...
This is most haram. To the Devs: as more than 1.5 billion people in the year of our Lord 2015 accept the righteous and devote path of Muhammad, it can be interpreted that, similarly, a fifth or greater of the Elite: Dangerous npc population embraces Islam. Think of the NPCs this would help benefit, not to mention the hundreds, if not thousands, of Muslim players :)
Whose Lord? Mohammad was born in the 7th century (CE) I'm not sure Exactly when, or what the Muslim year will be in 3301 CE, but 2015 would be too much of a coincidence.
I call...

As a Muslim myself,

The suggestion is a bit odd as the game is not real life of course, but it does pose the question.

Would that be the case in the far future when we explore the stars, would we [as Muslims] still direct our prayers towards earth?

I guess I will never know in my lifetime.

/me wants to fly a real spaceship =[

I would imagine that there would be an equivalent device to the 'compass' (please accept my apologies on this, as I do not know the correct term for the device) that will allow the owners to calculate the position of Earth in relationship to their current location, allowing them to place their prayer mats in the appropriate position. While on another planetary body this would not be wholly accurate (as you can only position your mats in a horizontal attitude) on a ship you would have the ability to rotate the ship so that it is pointing directly towards Earth (and, if you are close enough, directly towards Makkah), and then place your prayer mat along the axis of your ship.

I am going to take this 'Religion in Space' a lot further. I do not know how many religions there are, although I know there a lot. I also know that there are differences of opinion, not just between religions but between differing factions of the same religion (I am not going to name religions as I have no wish to offend any believers of any religions). What I would hope is that, in the future, 2 things are agreed by all of the religious authorities (even if they at 'war' with each other). The first would be that all space platforms (regardless of ownership) are considered neutral grounds where no conflicts are permitted to happen (and any person committing a violent act for religious reasons on a platform would not only be cast out of that religion, so would all their family, as they would be considered to have endangered the right for that religion to practise its beliefs. This would be made VERY clear by all religious 'teachers'.), while the second would allow those who normally have to pray towards a specific point in space to be permitted just to pray, as on those stations with a rotational movement would prevent 'aimed' praying from being possible.
As to areas whereby faithful could pray, on some platforms space would be very hard to come by, so people would have to find whatever space they could find. However, on larger platforms it might be possible to set aside a reasonable amount of space where those who wish to pray can. This area would not have any religious objects (to prevent causing any offense to others), and would be painted in peaceful neutral colours. In times of major crises these areas might be used to support medical facilities, and I doubt any religion would have serious problems with this, as this could be perceived as a charitable act, allowing those in need to be supported.
I hope that what I have written is acceptable, and has not caused anybody any offense. Be at peace.
