General Please add support for Oculus Quest 2, Air Link and Nvidia’s DLSS

Quest 2 already works through SteamVR, but you may have to tweak settings. What's new there right. Everything VR seems to require we tweak a bit at times.
If you are not using Steam for whatever reasons you may have, there is a third party profiler workaround for it. Google for it, direct links to it seem to make forum gods at Reddit angry.

All for DLSS, but I think that it needs a bit of programming. There is a ton of things that need fixing right now b4 they go there imho.

Thanks. “Tweak settings” can mean hours and hours of frustration with no guarantee you’ll even get it working. I posted here on Frontier Support’s suggestion because Frontier currently has no plans to officially support the features I just requested.

Hopefully more users request these features. I would play ED much more if I could play it without hassle at high rez/fps w. Quest 2 over Air Link on my current rig. Who wouldn’t want this?

Oculus also recommends Rift/Rift S for ED, as Frontier doesn’t support Quest 2 or Air Link yet. And who would buy discontinued tech?

DLSS and AMDs forthcoming version of it would allow all players to run faster/higher rez. If enough users request the feature the devs may add it. This is what Frontier told me. Maybe they’re just blowing smoke and this is just a waste of time, who knows?

AMD's FSR is expected to work on non-AMD GPUs as well as older AMD GPUs and the latest gen consoles, unlike NVIDIA's DLSS which only runs on 20 and 30 series NVIDIA GPUs. It'd possibly be better, in terms of how many would benefit from it, to support FSR rather than DLSS.

Thanks Robert. When is FSR coming out? Will FSR work as well with Nvidia GPUs as DLSS? Nvidia currently offers a 100mhz refresh rate advantage over AMD with Quest 2 Air Link.

Not much known about FSR at this point. At least it will not require a certain gpu vendor (vendor locking)
