Please Allow Trading Pre-Engineered Modules

On the recent stream it was stated that we won't be able to trade engineered modules to other players.

While I understand why this is the case, and I'm fine with it, I would like to request that we be allowed to trade pre-engineered modules. This would allow, for example, a Mandalay with a pre-engineered Titan FSD to be available for squadron use. I think this would be a HUGE reason for players to join a squadron and participate in it, since many of these pre-engineered modules are no longer attainable. None of them are especially powerful in combat, either, so it shouldn't upset combat/PvP balance in a big way.

I expect it would be open to abuse.
It would almost certainly lead to a black market outside of the game where people pay real money to buy a bunch of engineered modules.
Perhaps I am misunderstanding how the feature works. My understanding is that when you take a ship or module from the Squadron carrier bank/hangar/whatever, you don't own it, it still belongs to the Squadron. Ergo if/when you leave the squadron you would lose access to it. So for this to work, you would have to stay in the squadron you bought the modules from, permanently. That'd make it nigh-impossible to avoid a ban once the black marketeer is identified.

Also I don't see how someone with the permission to take/use Squadron ships and modules can be prevented from requisitioning as many as they want - they either have the permission to do so, or they don't. Any attempted black market would be immediately defrauded by another black marketeer buying one module then rapidly stealing all their stuff.

Sorry, I don't see a problem here. FDev would have to add more features than they've shown for it to be easily abuse-able.

That's a reasonable interpretation from reading the forum posts on the subject... but a lot of them are pretty close to being fan-fiction rather than bearing any resemblance to what was actually said officially.

And in raising the question you have, you've kind proved the converse:
"FDev, it doesn't make sense that we can't share engineered modules, given that the recipient doesn't get to own the ship or the modules?"
But what if they did get to own the ship and the modules, would it make sense to you then?

I mean, it makes sense to me personally that we can't just give people engineered modules because then you could essentially join a squadron and go immediately into PvP in a fully geared frag-de-lance (or whatever it is the PvP masters fly these days, idk, I play in Mobius) without any effort to obtain it.

By contrast, afaik there are no pre-engineered modules that give any advantage in PvP. Theres all the pre-engineered AX stuff, and there's the pre-engineered seeker missiles that would be a waste of a weapon slot for PvP. If I'm forgetting one, by all means tell me, but I don't think there is. To the best of my knowledge there are no pre-engineered thrusters or shields either.

That's the key distinction, in my mind. You don't want people checking out a fully geared PvP ship from the carrier. That would be like checking out nuclear weapon schematics from the local library. But a ready-to-go cargo or exploration ship, or even a fully geared AX ship, wouldn't cause any imbalance.

But, again, if there is a meta PvP weapon that's pre-engineered, by all means say so and I will delete this post like the terrible idea it would then be. I just can't think of one.
