Please bring back skimmer missions, FD.

FD, can you please bring back skimmer missions? Those missions were a lot of fun.

I did them from the air most of the time, and not only did I really enjoy them, but they really allowed me to enjoy surface flying while I scanned for POIs. Lots of immersion in those missions.

Now aside from the occasional delivery or mat scrounge, I have almost no reason to go down and visit planet surfaces.

I feel sure that they were just supposed to be reduced in availability, not completely removed, but I too haven't seen any since then.

What do we want? ... to kill skimmers for cash!
When do we want it? ... reasonably soon, when you get a chance to re-implement them! Thank you.

It's now implemented the other way round and called Skimmer Roulette. Just landed my Vette at Blackmount Habitation and counted at least 8(!) of them falling from the sky around me. None of them hit me this time, 32m saved. Yay!

I used to love doing the bombing runs on power grids, picking up escape pods, and taking out skimmers, all as one big mission.

I also loved long range smuggling.

And not just because of the money, but because they were all incredibly fun.

Yep, I thought they were just going to be dialed back (the skimmer missions), but they have disappeared completely.

I really hope that FD have that bucket of scrapped mission templates in re-development, and will be bringing them back in the near future.

These were great fun but fdev decided we are not here for that.
