🌠 Please Bring back visuals on ultra PC, dynamic lighting of ships, ports, star bases, all surroundings and objects in the game - ULTRA THIS IS ULTRA

After reading several "I have 20 fps on foot at station no matter what settings on top tier hardware"
I decided to record a proof that such rants are b0ll0cks.

Orbital station concourse i7-10700K / GTX 2070s / 2560x1080

60 fps - well OK, ALMOST stable ;)
Most settings at ultra, shadows at high
Can't handle SS >1, so it's SMAA for now.

Let’s see you do that in 4K, like we can in Horizon.
I have everything on ultra. I was at 1440p.
I put my settings onto 4k. I don't have a 4k monitor, so perhaps these numbers aren't representative of "actual" 4k?

Anyway:

50-60 planet side.
120+ in space.
60+ on station approach.
60 in docking bay (small amount of fluctuation)
30-50 in station (really bad - but considering I'm only here to pick up missions, I'm not all that phased).

Station optimisation can be improved; but overall, the experience is still good IMHO.

A 3090 is a poor example for this arguement as it uses the slower GDDR6 and not the GDDR6X that the 3080 does

The 3090X uses higher clocked GDDR6X than the 3080 and has two more memory controllers populated, which together amount to nearly third more memory bandwidth (and 2.4x the capacity) than the 3080.

Not that it would matter. Memory bandwidth is not a major limiting factor here and 10GiB is enough for the game in it's current state.

The rest of the hardware does matter, and the 3090 is the all-round faster part.

I actually highly depends on where you land. Can you try a tourism hub? Like the Molina Tourism Hostel in Exioce. I went from 70 to 21 there.
My number was taken from Mars High - not sure if that constitutes a tourism hub?
I'll go take a look and let you know though.

Currently walking up to one of the main buildings. Getting 60 fps.
Walking around the base was about 60 the whole time.
But then I went to another base, and I was getting 30.. lol
