Please can you make downthrust in the SRV optional.

I know people were complaining about having a hard time driving in ultra low grav without going airborne, but I find falling like a ton of bricks in 0.04Gs really immersion breaking and disappointing. I want to be able to take off and have the ability to just keep going, and turn on down thrust when I want to ease myself back down. I get why they created the system, to allow people to drive in low gravity, but it should be optional like flight assist, otherwise it feels the same on 0.04 as it does on a body with 0.5, and that is stupid...

Enjoying things otherwise, but this one thing just makes driving feel too arcade like.

Maybe the gravity on that planet is wrongly reported. I took a flyer on cliff last night and it took a while to drop to the ground. Definitely slower then the Moon's .13G gravity.

That is intended so you get stuck in 60 degree sloped holes and have to kill yourself because you can't get out despite the gravity being so low that you could as well step out of the SRV and throw the damn thing out of that hole.

I wrote the support because I got into such situation and I was annoyed as hell that the thrusters adjusted 1:1 with the gravity so you 'jump' as high on 0.03g as you would on 3g, you only smack down harder.
If that limitation wouldn't have been in place, or if it'd had been possible to turn the downward thrust off, or fire the thrusters forwards I could have gotten out of that situation easily, but nope, the response was instead: "Planets are not a safe place. There will be situations from which you cannot escape, just the same as space. Caution and planning are your friends. :)"

So I'd not expect a change on either of these.
I'd still wish we could atleast fire the thrusters forwards but I doubt that'll be added : (
