Please dont stop working on this game

So you're saying that all the console players, that paid the same amount of money, shouldn't get any updates, but the PC version should be upgraded and therefore have many more features and offer a totally different game? Glad you're not employed at Frontier. Hahaha

PC players could simply be given more DLC like a huge sandbox map with all terrain tools/items and even a map generator. It isnt a ludicrous idea considering there is already console exclusive content (for now vehicle skins). This way the base game that is friendly on all of the current platforms stays the same and platforms that handle less restrictions dont have to be held back.

I couldn't disagree more with you. Fact being that all players, regardless of preferred gaming method, should retain equal amount of DLC. Be it vanity items such as vehicle skins or dinosaur updates. Everyone paid the same price, and make use of the same game. That makes them just as eligible for DLC as PC gamers, or anyone else.

thats hard to say when the game was just on sale for 75% off last week compared to everyone who payed full price to preorder for some skins. In my case at least some people arent held back by others. In your case everyone has to settle for far less.

Alright, so it's been on sale. And? That's the summer for you, plenty of people hold summer sales.

The same point stands, everyone plays the same game, which gives them the same inalienable rights that we have.

Console has nothing to do with anything being talked about.

As the OP said, it took almost a year to make an update of half a dozen trees and rocks, that can only be explained but either uninterest or development complexities.

I think Frontier does show interest in their games so the natural conclusion is that technical issues where to blame. And that technical issues to implement just half a dozen placeable trees and rocks are bound to be related to the game's core and bugfixing, because implementing such inanimate objects just can't be as complex and time-consuming as creating and coding new dinosaurs (something we know they were doing too, sadly). So the game's core was tailored to meet the console's hardware, which is obviously limited, and the second handicap is also due to consoles, because multiplatform is bound to complicate everything if only due to it multiplying the testing time.

So, yeah, console's are a huge break for JWE. So I don't really see the point denying that. Maybe they do win FD and Univerdal money, but if the end result is something such as JWE just launched, a potential JWE2 will likely lose most, if not all, PC players so it's also a big loss.

Anyway, PCs can be upgraded. Consoles can't? Sorry for you, but you'd better go ask Sony, MS and the rest of them for the ability to do so, then, and not expecting everyone to be happy with such a substandard product. This ain't the 90s anymore. I promise you, someday you'll get your hands on a PC and you'll open your eyes (it happened for me and every single player I know in person) ;)

Having said that and with no spirit to offend anyone (really sorry if I sounded harsh, but the truth often stings), I don't see why adding an option for lifting the map's limits would be unfair. The game would still be the same for everyone, with the sole excepcion that those who can't handle certain map extensions (PC users included, not all of us own super-huge gaming ones) will either have to accept their limits or risk having lag and potential crashes.

I dont understand why they cant do features separate from consoles specifically for PC. If pc users are able to do more and not be held back by constraints they should not have to suffer because playstation and xbox provide awful platforms for their price tags. But regardless this game needs waaaay more decor and tools. What we were given was an amazing start and has breathed new life into a dead game but its ridiculous how limited they have been with this game considering the huge IP it is.

That's how it used to be. Games that were on both console and PC the PC would get the superior version. That isn't the case anymore. These days both versions are made the same, meaning simplified for consoles or inferior if you want to think that way. No developer wants to upset the console players. Some of them believe their consoles are pretty much equal to a good gaming PC.

The PC will never get anything that consoles can't handle. The only way is to make the games console or PC exclusive. Of course they won't do that cause so many people have switched over to PC now they would miss out on a lot of money. If they went PC exclusive they would be missing out on the profits from the console market.

Consoles will never catch up to the PC in terms of hardware. They simply can't, PC will always be several steps ahead. The companies that make the consoles can't offer the systems at a cheap consumer friendly price that way. So the only alternative is for as many people as possible to switch over to the PC. Once that happens then you will see things change. Until then the PC will keep getting inferior versions of games.

Giving PC players more content is a win win for frontier - they not only please their pc player base but they may potential convert console users over to pc and sell another copy of their game (especially given the constant sales).

I went from ps4 to pc months ago - because the framerate drop on larger parks was horrible. I actually made a profit selling my console copy so again - win win.

No it isn't a win at all. They would make less money and they would have a lot of angry console players demanding the same things. It's not the 90's anymore. Some of these console players believe their consoles are just as powerful as a gaming PC. You see it all the time, "well RDR 2 can do this or this game can do that so JWE can do it". Your average console gamer has a very limited technical understanding of the situation.

If you thought people whined and complained about the game before just imagine what would happen if Frontier gave the PC larger maps or something else. The whining and complaining would be 100x worse. There are still people out there whining like children about the game. Frontier would never hear the end of it if they gave the PC something the consoles can't handle.

The gaming world has changed. It's not the 90's anymore where consoles get the inferior version of a game. We all get the inferior version now.

And that's why I won't keep supporting the gaming industry if that continues. This ain't the 90s anymore
