Please end Alcoholic Piloting

I know I may only be Backer #12875 and probably should have the same as backer #12874 but heck I will give it a try :p

So while I am trying to dock and depart from the station, I keep finding these pilots that are doing Pirouettes around the docking port... some even roll around like willy (the whale) causing me to run into them as I pass. I even saw one roll end to end in front of my ship.

Now, my suggestion is that we have a Breathalyzer come in every boxed copy of Elite which will block them from playing the game intoxicated.

Please do something about this as I can't keep replacing my ship with these out of controlled pilots.

I call shenanigans on it being NPCs.

We have a real problem here in this galaxy and we are too caught up in our own selfish ways to identify it, let alone speak of it. I don't know where in the blackhole people are getting the amount of liquor i see necessary to to fly a ship that erratically. Its down right dangerous and something has to be done about it. How many head on collisions will it take to finally bring some awareness to this issue?

I dont know about the rest of you, but im fed up. Time to take a stand. Time to let these idiots know that their fun and games are over.

Best thing to do is evaluate your chances of getting through the slot in one piece *before* you try it.

If it looks iffy, then wait.

PS: all pips to shields, and squeeze through anyway.

Ha! Ha! Though new to ED and frequently fly under the influence I can still read backwards :D ... but I love the idea that some NPC algoritham makes them drunk... rather often :D

Just make erratic piloting a violation of the rules. And we know what the punishment is for disobeying the rules. That way those of us who can actually handle our drugs won't be punished.

It's obvious that these wretched greenhorns need better *training,* like we Commanders of the Pilot's Federation, in addition to them being drunken reprobates.

Maybe FD could implement some new billboard signs for the stations and hangers that say something like "THINK! Don't drink and fly." :)

As well as maybe "Don't fly tired" (we've all done that, don't deny it) and "Don't text and fly".
