It's getting really boring with the suicide interdictor NPCs.
I get interdicted by "mostly harmless" Eagles and Imp Couriers almost every second jump (ok, not that often but it feels like it). The only thing the NPC does is shooting a few times at me and then flying completely confused in front of me waiting to get KWSed and killed. It doesn't help that they often have no shields. Without that KWS I would just fly away and let the small Beam turrets do their job. A "mostly harmless" Eagle isn't worth my attention.
I fly an Anaconda. My ship has big guns, really big guns and a nice shield. I don't even notice the weapons fire from a "mostly harmless" NPC Eagle. I don't have to put pips into weapons to kill those ships. I do have to turn my ship to prevent my small turrets to destroy the ship before the KWS is done.
The most annoying thing is I have to submit to the interdiction. If I fight and win the interdiction mini-game they interdict me almost instantly again. The only way to get rid of them is to submit fire once to destroy them and move on.
They interdict me almost always just before jumping to the next system. 2 times already they jumped with me to the next star and I got instantly pulled out of SC and very close to the star. Just to be greeted by a NPC that shoots once or twice and then does nothing while waiting to get killed.
Please FD stop this insanity. The current NPC interdictions aren't fun, they aren't dangerous, they are annoying. Not many real CMDRs would try to pirate an Anaconda with an Eagle.
Why not just add a wait timer every now and then? It's more fun to watch a progress bar than that silly NPC behavior.
And while I'm at it: HC jumps should interrupt the interdiction tether. NPCs shouldn't attack ships that are much, much more powerful than the ships they fly and if they do they should actually fight or run away once they realize that they just interdicted a ship with weapons and shields and a CMDR who knows how to use those things. My combat ranking should be an indication that it's not a good idea to interdict me in my 'conda with an Eagle.
Ah, now I feel better. Thanks for reading or ignoring
