Please fix multicrew disconnecting issues

Greetings CMDR's.

It's been a long time since I've been trying to play multicrew with friends. But I can't stay on my friend's ship for more than two hyperspace jumps. It always disconnects me, and my player ends up returning to the starting system. This is somewhat frustrating, because it only happens in multicrew and telepresence.

We can play together, but only if we are each on our own ship, but never on the same ship. We both have strong internet connection and good ISP.

I've made a research on this topic and saw that this is an old issue, which has been happening for long time, and it still remains...

Fixing it would be really nice to encourage new players to play ED, 'with a little help from their friends' wouldn't it? We all know that ED may be a little intimidating for beginners, isn't it?

That's why I make this appeal to the developers to fix this functionality of the game. I'm sure this will be reversed in more players.

Best wishes!

is this problem solved? After years of not playing a good friend of mine would start playing elite with me but if there are still errors with multiplayer stuff i see no hope.

Unfortunately, there is no sign of the developers' concern in this regard. Anyway I still have hope. Such a great feature if it works...

understanding what peer to peer in computing means should answer those questions🤷‍♂️
they cant fix what does not belong to them to fix you have more power to improve things in that regard than they do...................
as for them switching to an expensive client server that they simply have no interest in doing due to the cost...........
an eg of an expensive client server game which is free to play is planetside 2 i suggest you try it if only to further understand the difference in the 2 types of online game servers currently available to developers
in an expensive client server players are conected to each other via the central server bus
in a cheap peer to peer server players are connected to each other via there own internet service providers to which FD have no control over whatsoever

and so its up to you to make connecting with friends via your isp as "freindly" as is possible and know that periods of brief disruption IE no connectivity are inherent in nature to a peer to peer network unfortunately which will mean periodically loosing connection to friends until you reconnect in a new peer to peer instance...
this is down to the instability of peer to peer in general so make your connection as stable as possible using the methods in the guide bellow

if your gona insist on them fixing it you should know they quite simply can't period .all they initially do is "connect your call to friends etc " the rest is down to you and your isp so its out of there hands as soon as a connection is established
knowledge is power✌️🫰o7
