Please fix neutron stars

Just reverse it how they look in horizons. That look is mess. A big blue bubble and that bubble stays same even if you get far away from them.

FDev are mishandling this DLC so badly it's just pathetic and embarrassing. I've had ED on my computer since it was first released but I think I'm finally going to uninstall it.

May look a bit of a mess compared to Horizons but still an improvement from early ED when they were just a dot and a big exclusion zone around it :)

I'll take a dot and a big exclusion zone over this any day. I mean, you can't even read the star name text here under the huge glowing space marshmallow that has no reason to exist whatsoever.

Oh..not used one since mapping em from colonia back to bubble. Then they had their tails...? Id Warrent this is the new thinking behind how one really looks?

No, pretty sure it's a graphical glitch, perhaps a broken attempt to apply some type of glare effect. The giveaway is that the apparent size of the halo doesn't change with distance, until goes away abruptly beyond some point. The jet cones still look and work as usual once you get up close to them.

White dwarfs, for what it's worth, don't have this glitch and look much the same as before.

There is an acknowledged bug report about this if you feel like upvoting it.

Oh neat, how close did you have to get to see that? A neutron star should be around 3-5 km across - does it seem like it's the right size?
I hit the exclusion zone at ~770 km and then I was able to get to about 750 km. YOU NEED AN EFFICIENT PP. It's difficult to judge the size, even in VR because of all the light. Turn down Gamma to minimum. It goes way lower after update 3. Also place your free camera so that it picks up a reflection of the star in your ship:

(The reflection makes the auto exposure turn down the light even further)

Here is a higher res zoom (gamma corrected):

The round prominences are not visible in the screenshot, but they move very quickly when you just sit and watch the star. Highly recommended, but it's a very hot place, so now you're warned.
