Please fix power play so it actually makes sense!

Ok so I'm in a system who according to the system view has it's alligence to the Federation. It is however being exploited by a Imperial power. I then get interdicted by an Imperial ship and in destroying it become wanted!! But.. but this systems alligence is the Federation!?!? Oh and i didn't get any merits either!

This is then followed up by being interdicted by a system authority vessel (remember the systems alligence folks) who then promptly attacks me and dies because well that's just not cricket!

I then dock at the station which is green so at least someone still likes me! :D

While Federation and Empire are not at war where you are, you commit murder. Plain and simple.

That makes PP so perverse - the most "sensible" way to earn merits is to murder 666 people who are not criminals nor engaged in a war. I call those civilians.

Some might say the intriguing complexity makes it more engaging and dynamic. Others might say its a badly thought out mess and its all a bit daft.

...I'm probably in the 'others' camp...

Ah, yes, the Absurdity of it all. Well, just kill 'em all and let the lack of a god sort 'em out - because it's just another chapter in the player-driven saga that is Existentialism: Dangerous, arguably the best existential space sim never actually conceived.
That or it's a badly thought out mess and it's all a bit daft, as I understand others to be saying.

What I would like is for those interdictions to stop in headquarters systems; I'm getting interdicted by Sirius, Utopians, Delaine's minions, you name it, in Kamadhenu, where there is nothing to undermine.
It's plain ridiculous.
