Please give separate volume controls for suit and ship COVAS

I have nice Mackie studio monitors and sometimes use my Audio Technica studio headphones and still struggle with the level balance between the suit and ship COVAS.

Aside from the unnecessary distortion effect of the suit helmet COVAS (34th century technology folks!) I find it way to loud and piercing to the point of irritation. It has now gotten to the point where I have the suit/ship voice volumes almost completely down. It's an immersion breaker. Not only is this a shame given how useful some of the suit comm's are, but I paid a fair amount of ARX for ship COVAS which I can no longer hear at all for the sake of making the suit COVAS tolerable and having to go into the options to change it every time I switch from foot to ship is just a massive pain and inconvenience.

F-DEV, Is this something that can be implemented asap please? Either that or get a member of your amazing sound team to rebalance the audio so that they are at least amplified at the same levels, if they do need to remain in one volume set.

On a side note: (and I hate to be that guy but...) Frankly, the suit COVAS voice sounds like an annoying, nagging, grumpy cow. Not at all pleasant or likeable in the slightest. Will there be options for other suit COVAS voices in the future?

Thank you and I apologise if my honesty has offended anyone in the team. The sound team are a group of geniuses as far as I'm concerned but this is a big miss in my eyes (and ears).

o7 Commanders.

I have to admit, I quite like the voice in the helmet. But in the case of separating the volume controls, I'm with you. I think there are differences depending on which COVAS you have in the ship, but I actually find the suit quieter than the vehicles - unless it's Leo equipped.

Strange, I have the opposite issue - ship covas is too loud and suit voice too low. And I have only 1 slider :(
I am playing on a regular 2 speaker audio system.

The same goes for NPC volume - I can barely hear NPCs and guards in settlements but the traffic control in a station is yelling at the top of his lungs.

We probably need more sliders than we think :)

That's fair. I'm assuming that the audio equalisation and balancing was optimised to suit gaming headsets or slightly lower quality PC speakers so I can only speak for myself in that respect. Same goes with the voice. I only speak from my own personal experience.

Yep. This is my experience too.

Back to COVAS, despite having bought Leo some time ago, I do tend to stick with Victor these days, as he seems to be the clearest, and easiest to hear over other things. More so than the original Verity, and certainly more than Holly.
