Please give us more shop alternatives

will we still get new shops in the future? Either other well-known ones from Panet Coaster such as bratwurst (very typical for zoos) or sushi or completely new ones such as popcorn, crepes (!!!) or a real kiosk where we can get all kinds of things (little drings, chewing gum, snacks). That would be cool too!

Those Shops sound awesome. I would also like Shops that sell Food from exotic Locations. Imagine how awesome it would be to serve your Guests african, Indonesian...... Food

Would be cool if we have some smaller souvenir shop. I mean, food and drink shops have vending machine.

Yeah. I can't finish a Mexican zoo without churros. And I'm imagining what Argentinean food kiosks would be:

Pipshot Mate - a bitter, green tea from South America. Really great for losing weight

Empanada Emporium - delicious food, one of my favorites. Kinda like a turnover, I guess, but savory

Just remembered that I've also once built a Tea Shop in one of my Asian Areas but needed to sell Coffee. A Shop that sells Tea would be really great. When we get more European Animals we could also do something like a Area where Guests can drink Tea above a British Garden with Foxes or other Animals. There would be so many Possibilities

Any tea at this point. We can do black tea, iced tea, sweet tea, even Texas tea (kidding about the last one. I doubt we can serve oil to our guests. Can we?)

I'd love a shop that sells weather-appropriate clothing and accessories from coats and hats when it snows to sunscreen and parasols when it's too hot. Also, cuddly toys. I'd also like Frontier to get rid of the balloon shop in Planet Zoo as guests letting them go is at best littering and at worst dangerous pollution as balloons can and do endanger and kill wild animals and livestock. Not normally something I'd bother mentioning as it's only a game etc but it seems particularly out of place in a game that goes out of its way to educate players about environmental issues.

So! Hayo, fellow zookeepers! May I take your attention back to this little thread for a short while? :)

Well, I used the Steam Summer Sale to buy some Planet Coaster DLCs (they are 50% off). I think it is the World's Fair DLC where they added a hole lot of new shops. First of all (has nothing to do with this topic but I want to adress it): I think after the "Spooky Pack", the "Adventure Pack" and the "Studio Pack"...there where no really interesting Packs for Planet Coaster. Who ever wanted a "Knight Rider DLC"? Or a "Ghostbusters DLC"? I mean, I love the Ghostbusters Movie, but PlanCo should be a Franchise of its own. Planet Planet Franchise so to speak, right? If they did a "Primeval Pack" with Dinosaur-Animatronics and maybe an Icecave-Ride with Mammoths and Sabertooth Tigers instead, it would have sold really good (I would buy it!). And the license costs for those franchises...they must have cost some money, right? I think (Personal opinion! No evidence!) that this DLC policy killed the PlanCo Development until a second installment. Not just because they thought "Okay, we're done her!" but because the sells were not the best. Planet Zoo right now does a better job: Great Packs so far. I haven't regret to buy a single one of them. But please don't do Ace Ventura or Lion King or something in the future...just do YOUR THING!

Well, so far my text wasn't primarily for you, my fellow zookeepers, but more for Frontier. ;) So, back to topic... (seriously Primeval Pack for PlanCo (not Zoo!)...DO IT!)

In the Worlds Fair Pack (or the free update, I don't know) we got:
"Burrito Bonanza" (Burritos | Could be nice for South American (part of the) Zoo
"Chow Mein Chow" (Noodles | Asian Zoo - must have!)
"Churreria del Sol" (I don't know what that is. Please enlighten me!)
"Dune Delights" (Kebab | Would have been perfect for North Africa)
"Gelateria di Maria" (more...Ice cream, but a bit redundant because of Cosmic Cow)
"Haya Sushi" (Sushi | Asian Zoo)
"Just Ribbin" (Spareribs)
"Le Vingt 27-Sept" (French Bread | maybe with an European Pack?)
"Professor Wurst" (German Bratwurst (fried sausage) | maybe with an European Pack?)
"Sugary Emporium" (British Sweets | maybe with an European Pack?)

I like the idea of a shop for rain- and wintercoats requested by sockeyejo up there. But I don't know if the engine allows it. I would like to have a shop for fish buns or fried fish for my arctic part of the zoo. Maybe call it "Fish Frenzies" or something? And personaly being a German: Schnitzel! I never go into my local zoo without ordering a good, flavourful Schnitzel with Fries (and of course a cool beer), in the heat of the midday (German-Cliche-Alarm incoming!).

Yeeah but thats just me.

Last of all: I wanted to point out that we are tasked so much to do good to our animals and right now we are offering our guests mostly unhealty food - which I find ironic. No salad? No fruits? I mean you don't have to create a hole new mechanic out of this...but...give us the option...please?

Okay, just wanted to bring attention back to this topic. Really would like to have more choice of shops. Have a nice weekend! You are the most awesome community to a game I know! May Planet Zoo have a long live!

That Show was amazing. Would love to re-watch it but seems like no Streaming Service has it currently.

We need all of this. Also thanks, now I want a Schnitzel🤤

Would be cool if we have some smaller souvenir shop. I mean, food and drink shops have vending machine.
When I was a kid, many zoos had these little coin op machines that made wax models of various animals while you watched. I don't know if they are still a thing, but that's one example of a souvenir vending machine I can think of.

I have seen vending machines in some touristy places that cell small packages of convenience items, including sunscreen, medication packets (like aspirin, antacids and so on), chap stick and so on. This could be potentially useful for zoo guests.

Oh, yes please! I would SO LOVE to have food stalls that fit certain areas in my zoo. Asian food for the asian section, african cuisine for the african part ... But no. French Fries, Pizza and hot dogs it is ...

Churreria del Sol" (I don't know what that is. Please enlighten me!)
It's from Latin origins, Spain and Portugal, but they are common in Latin America. Churros are fried dough sticks. Nowadays they are sometimes stuffed with chocolate sauce and/or caramel sauce. I love them, and they taste best when warm and a nice glass of cold milk

EDIT: I see @Aramar beat me. Nonetheless, it's interesting. Man, I could go for some good churros right now
