Please help, error code.

I zm getting orange sidewinder error code from going from menu to in game. After about 10 seconds of loading it just errors out. I have tried restarting rouer, reinstalling game, verifying gane files. I have never had this issue. Its been 3 days.

Cmdr Kyron5 suffers from exactly the same error unable to play. He also resetted his router, validated the game files via the launcher, re-installed the whole game but nothing helps. He just can't get to play. It's also since 3 days.

I had this happen.

I solved it on my system by setting properties on the launcher to run as administrator and deleting all Elite Dangerous rules from Windows defender firewall and re-approving them.

It seemed more to be more of a bad firewall rule and I had quite a few dead and active rules for ED executable.

Don't know if this will help you.....

i had similar caused by the intel tool "optimizing" a pcs graphic settings. had to add the games exe as an exception as to not optimize during usage.

Cmdr Kyron5 was able to solve the orange sidewinder issue by rolling back his AMD GPU driver to the older version too. Thanks for the advice Rat Catcher. :)

Interesting. I am running on that driver without issue, but I don't have a 6000.

This was a good thread to come across as a 6800xt owner... I never use the optional drivers personally as they are some kind of beta if im correct, with that said they usually become the standard driver after a wee while... So need to imprint this on me brain to remember this thread for such a time as i start getting that error.

Off topic... anyone ever come across a fix for the orbit lines on 6000 series cards?

Im a 6800 owner. Orbit lines still jank. Lyckily it looks like they fixed planet textures. No more lines.
