Please help. Ground Conflict Zones are completely Broken.

Now hear me out!

I know there is only like 3 other people beside me that enjoy this content but please help confirming this issue so FDEV can take a look at it.
NPC's are not attacking objectives, just standing still and sometimes stop working completely. Also: not enough NPC's spawn to complete The Conflict Zones even if you capture all the objectives yourself.

This is a long standing bug. Usually on some of the bigger settlements some hiccup occurs probably when the zone loads that screws it up. I always thought that I saw it because I'm still trying to play this game on an ancient rig and I can see it happening more when my machine struggles but you seem to have a pretty good looking experience so 🤷‍♂️

I have not done much ground CZ's yet, but have seen some others weird things happen, which I believe were due to server connection issues.

Also, if they could "fix" the dumb behavior of NPC's, or at least make them use their jetpack I stead if standing still while under fire, that would be nice.

Added my contribution.

I only did ground CZs a few weeks ago to unlock an engineer. Only a few had NPCs moving. Most of the time they just stood around.

Did a bunch of missions about two weeks ago to get the 10 ground missions Engineer unlock, also near Colonia.
NPC pathfinding was a bit jank, and the friendlies did occasionally just ignore being attacked by nearby opposing forces when moving about between points, but it didn't get as broken as described above.

Well.. as i feared not many are interested in getting this fixed :(
For a lot of people, the feature isn't worth the attention.

Or...the impacts to on-foot gameplay is related to happenings with Tailblazers and Powerplay. If/when the underlying performance issues are resolved, then the hope is these on-foot issues go away, too.

Not so much that as I know how other games AI got ...reduced... with spawn distances brought in to almost "round the corner" in order to save cycles on AI and pathfinding, amongst other things. Anyway, here I suspect something similar, with the larger conflict environments with lots of NPCs suffering the worst.

Yes, I agree it has changed since I last played a great number of Odyssey conflicts on my old account, which was well before Trailblazers. Back then I also do not recall AI being this...blind, or daft. My CPU wouldn't bat an eyelid at it, but then I guess a lot of peoples did.

You are welcome to start a ticket, and I'll happily upvote it.

There used to be a bug where NPCs would glitch through the terrain and be unkillable, even falling infinitely forever but still registering as an NPC (thus not spawning more in)...maybe that's still a thing :/

I really like the on foot stuff (As one might be able to see on my Rank) I linked a Ticket right at the start of the thread.

I can recall these bugs or issues with npcs at CZ's ever since I played oddy - now it would be about almost 3 years - and frankly, kinda knew its gonna stay forever.

Npcs in conflict zones, would refuse to move even an inch. Its so far most common problem, but atleast it does not stop cmdrs from completing such CZ.
Missing final 1 or 2 npcs from very last wave, causing CZ to be not possible to win.
Score board would not update, resulting in never-ending CZ (main reason why there is not any high ground CZ in CG for years!)
Or totally dumb npcs, who sometimes can shoot cmdrs across whole settlement, but refusing to notice cmdr behind thier backs or when flanked.

Its just sad. I really liked ground CZ's, until I got bored entire oddy as whole, but because of these all mentioned issues, even thinking about trying ground CZ for while, is leaving sour feeling.

Oddy is so much wasted potential.
