You already know what it is. My dumb self was so hyped to get a Python that I didn't even mind the buy back cost. I have spent 250 hours on this game :eek: :( and I made the fatal mistake of approaching a capital ship. I was destroyed so quickly. The buy back is beyond the loan and I need 1,815,997 credits in order to buy the Python back. Low and behold, there is still hope for me.....I think. I am not willing to give up 10 days of my life because of this stupid mistake I made. There IS HOPE IN CQC! I need a confirmation on if I can earn credits through CQC to save my Python and my 250 hours of game time. I know it will take long, but I am willing to embark on this journey. Please for the love of God can someone give me some truth and reconciliation!?!? Confirm this CQC strategy someone :( or else I'm going to Everspace.[downcast]

I recently lost my Python and I am unable to get it back because I do not have the money to get it. Problem being, the Python was my ONLY ship that I had. All is not lost. I have been earning credits through CQC to soften the insurance price and it is working. My current highest pilots federation rank is trailblazer in exploration and because of this, the creditor gives me a higher loan. The insurance cost in total is 2,815,997 and my max loan is 1,000,000 credits. If I had advanced my exploration rank to Pathfinder, I would have had a loan of 2,500,000, but I can no longer advance that rank because I have no ship and I can't go into open play. Low and behold, CQC is still an option and I can still increase my pilots federation in that. I am currently at Amateur and I was wondering if it was possible to advance through amateur and all the way up to Champion. Obviously it is possible, but would getting to champion raise my loan? On the Elite Dangerous Wiki, it says loans are raised through pilot federation ranks, but it does not include CQC ranks. Is this wrong??? Has anyone committed solely into arena mode and has reached Elite in it? If so, has your loan increased??? I really do need some help and I'm not starting from scratch after 250 hours of grinding if there is even a SLIVER of chance that I can rebuy the Python. Someone confirm my theory please. Can anyone direct me to an app that lets me see my pilots federation ranks and can I look at them while flying CQC?

I learned very quickly to have 3 times the rebuy cost on hand. I was killed in a cz, then made a stoopid mistake a few days later. I was down to 1 more kill and I was back in a starter sidey. Buy ye dream and keep flying ye lil ship till the comfort zone is reached.

I know i've seen this somewhere and I can't find that thread or whatever it was but I don't recall to get a raise in the loan, don't get my word for it. Sorry to hear about your problem but it's on you this time, you failed to keep credits for re-buy or staying safe with the last ship you have and no re-buys on it. I guess it will be a harsh lesson learned...

So you made a mistake and if you have to take responsibility for it, you will abandon the game? How very irresponsible of you. And if you make a major mistake in Everspace, will you abandon that game as well?

Do you have any clue how long it will take to earn 1.8m cr in CQC? Seriously, go back to the Freewinder, it'll be faster...

During the beta period our saves were wiped 3 or 4 times. Each time I had to build back up and each time I got faster doing so.

Come the final wipe (Dec 2014) I had accumulated so much knowledge that I was flying a brand new Anaconda by the end of January. That was no cheats, no hacks, no rares, just solid trading with a buddy.

We forget what we've learnt makes getting back to that stage much easier. More so because we also don't lose ranks, allied rank with factions etc.

You will get it back in no time!

You really don't seem to understand that time in a video game is not important enough to call anything "responsible". I spent 250h in the game just to have everything thrown away. Would you keep playing a game if all of your memory was erased after spending DAYS on it? Outta my face. Anyways, I contacted Frontier Developments and they were nice enough to repair my Python.

Very fortunate indeed. Curious though, what possessed you to go near a capital ship without a rebuy? :p

You do know that your entire memory of your entire life will disappear at some point? :p Anyway, good to see you've were helped out. It kinda ruins it for people who want this game to have consequences, but I guess that was to be expected.
