Elite Dangerous is stunning in VR.
However, the rendering of many planet surfaces is awful. After literally hours of tweaking the graphics settings, there are issues with flickering and shimmering artifacts, which really breaks the emersion and ruins the experience for me.
I recently upgraded to an RX 7800 XT GPU and AMD Ryzen 5 7600X 6-Core Processor. The improvement in VR performance in other games was really noticeable but only marginal in ED.
I really believe addressing these VR issues will attract many more users as VR adoption will inevitably continue to rise.
Games such as Star Citizen are likely to include VR support in the near future so ED will need to stay ahead of the game.
