Please let us adjust the size of a ranger post's patrol area

I was hoping if we could have the option to modify a ranger post's patrol area. I frequently like to build small exhibits to house the smaller park residents, and I tend to struggle a bit finding a spot for the ranger post as the area of patrol is too big. This isn't something necessarily bad as it is nice to cover multiple exhibits with a ranger post, but there are times where I would make a small herbivore enclosure, only for the ranger to go and check on the neighboring large carnivore, making themselves vulnerable to unnecessary attack.

I would love it if we could select a ranger post and modify the size of the patrol area, so that we could create more specific survey spots for our vehicular staff.
 
Hm, an interesting idea. I guess a possible issue would be that it could screw with the game balance. So perhaps there should also be a downside. Like maybe costing more money. There could be maybe an expensive research option that increases the range. Or perhaps if you could increase the range manually but that it would also increase the running costs.
 
I was thinking how it could work without breaking the game's balance. Like by having the maximum size of the range be close to what we have in the game, I think we could still have the balance. The smaller ranger posts radius means we may need to build more posts, and that itself would take up a lot more task slots from the vehicular staff. So it becomes a decision of either filling task slots fast, or risk vehicles breaking a lot due to too much dinosaur exposure.

Plus I like the added control this could provide for exhibit setups. I love to name the ranger posts based on the exhibit they cover like "Dilophosaurus enclosure" and "Eastern Sanctuary". So when I assign a team to look over the dilophosaurus, it will put me at ease that they won't wander off to somewhere else.

Also this made me think, I think we should be able to command a vehicle to go back to the ranger post if we noticed it is at risk of getting destroyed, that or be able to instruct the vehicles to do so if they get too bruised at the risk of taking a longer time covering the dinosaurs.
 
To be honest, I think it would be more logical to have an option to automatically have a ranger post patrol range conform to to stay within the area of a specific enclosure, while still having a limited range. It would make it easier when trying to put ranger posts into enclosures without having their range go into another enclosure that is covered by another ranger post.
