Please let us change the ambient noise volume.

Hey devs. There's got to be a way to lower the ambient noise volume on outposts and planetary stations. Some of these are so loud and annoying that I have to mute the computer's sound. That takes away from the game since a lot of the game sounds are pretty nice.

Please, please put a volume control or mute for planetary stations and outposts.

More options is always a good thing, so why not.
Personally I like the ambience of the different outposts and such. Some has a really creepy 'H R Giger like' atmosphere to them, I love that.

I would appreciate a slider for engine sound voulme also, especially the SRV engine. It really gets to me after a while, and I have to lower all sounds.

Interesting Ideas...

Currently I Fly listening to Radio Sidewinder, iTunes or MP3's/CDAudio and adjust my Music Volume Separately.
If Ambient Sound is getting to me I turn up my Music and/or adjust the Master Volume...

I haven't looked for a while, but there was an option to change the sound output for your headphones in the options somewhere. Even if you are using speakers, it might be worthwhile trying the other settings and see if it improves the sound balance for you.
