Please make Burning Station Rescues mean something

Personally I'd be happy if there was a counter showing how many passengers remain in the station. It would make these 'people' feel more real. It's kinda ironic that a station can run out of commodities but not people to rescue.

Related, rescue ships should have passenger missions based on these rescued passengers wanting to go to be with family and friends in other stations. There's no way that rescue ship can hold as many people as a full-sized station, so offloading some of these folks would make room for more!

Speaking of more realistic station resource tracking,
stations should run out of all sorts of things if not resupplied - fuel for ships, ammo, etc. Well, not totally run out, but at the very least have a supply-vs-demand mechanic, so that as fuel and ammo runs out, it costs more and more to purchase (slowly recharging over time unless CMDRs sell these items to the station).
 
If I am correct, Supplying the burning station or the rescue ship with basic medicines grants the same profit. The burning station is certainly more exciting and challenging. I did some of the supply runs and rescues but quit once the novelty wore off as it seemed to make no difference to the outcome as far as I could tell.

Not having any cause and effect on the burning stations seems like a HUGE missed opportunity to me. Having some type of goals set would create a CG like task that more players could RP into and find it a bit more meaningful.

OP has a very valid concerns and some decent ideas to improve them. I hope FD takes notice.
