Please make guests not be so dumb when it comes to shops

Whenever I have a store people like, I keep getting notifications that too many guests are trying to use it. Now this makes sense, and my idea: make more.
But then the other stores that are RIGHT NEXT TO EACH OTHER end up getting up to thousands and thousands of dollars in the minus because nobody uses them, but the first one always has too many guests trying to use it, and the notifications never stop. Its almost hilarious.

The worst is when they actually go to another store. Not that that's what I don't want, but then the first store (again, both are beside each other) gets abandoned and then I again get notifications that too many guests are trying to use that one. You can't win with these people!

That´s because AI is completely random. If guest find a shop full, he should decide to the other, nearest one. Although they completely change their action to something random and not based on their needs. That´s sadly how the AI works and sadly, it´s deep in it´s core and principles and that´s very likely to ever change :(.

It's not really random. They take the shortest route or the shop that is more attractive.
But i would suggest not to place the same shop directly next to each other.

Spacing them out more would be better and might help on this one.

Well, to me, it was happening very often they went to buy a drink, stall was full, so action was canceled and went for a ride on the other side of park

Yes that is indeed true.
I didn't mean that, guests are a bit dumb yes.

But I never place the same shop next to each other, but I do always use more kinds of shop from the same type in 1 place (2 food, 2 drinks, etc.), so maybe that's why I don't get a lot of messages of shops being to busy because I offer more variation.

I do get the messages like OP described but not as many as I think he gets, but then I do not know how big his park is.

Rereading is post, he didn't say he used the same 1 as a backup, so maybe I'm mistaken.

When placing shops, always put them 4-8m off the main path. This short side-path up to the shop provides queue space, even though it's just regular path, not the special "queue" type of path used for rides.

If your shops front directly onto the main path, then there's no queue space, so the shop can only accommodate the customers actually buying stuff at the window. Then EVERY other peep approaching this shop will generate the "too many peeps are using Shop X" message. But if you have a short side path between the shop and the main path, peeps will queue up on this and you get fewer such messages.
