Please make stars interesting.

If you look at the stars for a while and up close, you'll see that they are animated. And about the flares, sometimes they are so big they just seem to not move.
Keep in mind that even as close as the exclusion zone, we are still thousands of km away.

Stars have static textures, and, as far as I can tell, always have solar flares in the same spots. please add animated textures and dynamically moving solar flares.

A long time ago I sat watching stars, you think this sort of thing happens in seconds, these things are thousands of kilometers long. You have to sit there and watch, they don't always appear in the same place;

That's a few of my solar flare pictures, I hope you enjoyed them.

I was very impressed when I first saw MS-Type star, the colors and the size looked surprisingly different.

you can also recognize the star flares from planets:

even L (Brown dwarf) stars have flares:

this thread is slowly becoming a screenshot thread 😂

Yeah. Black holes, specially, seem a bit meh.

My personal opinion is that black holes should kill you if you get to close, no escape, no second chance.

I want there do be dangers out there, but designed in such a way an experienced CMDR who knows what to expect and how to avoid dying can get around fine, but i you go out underequiped and unprepared you are taking a big risk. Exploration should be something that's learned about and experienced, not just pop a long range FSD in a ship and off you go.

Look at this... When I dropped into the supermassive black hole at Sagittarius A
What I expected to see, and feel:

Meh... no turbulence, no chaos, no danger, no mindblowing effect...

Accretion disk already many times discussed, just search for them https://forums.frontier.co.uk/search/33276/?q=Accretion+disk
like here described:
That orange ring isn't an accretion disk, it's gravitational lensing of the energy from hot moving matter around the event horizon, probably only visible with radio telescopes anyway.
accretion disk looks realy nice, would also love them in game, but don't know if it ever happen in ED.

Well, you can hear all the gunfire in the game. It's not like Elite dangerous goes for the realistic. So why not give us some mind-blowing, freakin' dangerous black holes?
Make them black. Scary. With nasty waves of energy and heat flowing around. With warped effects. Camera shake, and heat-ups. Deep, chaotic noises. Makes us our pants.
Please. Pretty please, with sugar on top.

AFAIK, you can't see black holes at least not all and there are any waves around except Hawkings radiation that you only see with special sensors https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_hole#Observational_evidence and the heatup and camera shake you get if you fly too close to a black hole (like all others stars).

but sure, i would love the idea of better special effects for black holes. this topic was already suggested:

Have a look at the star that appears in the capital ship cinematic from 2013:

I'm guessing that's supposed to be a young star surrounded by a protoplanetary disc and a shell of ejected gas. I would like to see that!

And accretion rings around black holes and neutron stars.

Also, many of the stars featured in the game, including lots of the real life ones, are variables. These should periodically (hours to decades) increase in brightness, swell and contract, and erupt with huge amounts of material being thrown into space... that would be cool to see (and evade).
