Please, please add Ocean Map!

As the title says. I cant believe why we still have no pure Ocean map. Would be so nice to build our own island since we already have acess to the guest-spawner...

Please make this a thing Frontier! And if you are at it. Please also add a pure flatland map also.

but somehow i think Frontier doesnt care about suggestions afterall because so simple sugesstions i read here are never implemented but would make this game so much better...

Bo said earlier today that they aren’t focusing on different maps at the moment as they have to direct their resources.

Also I think it’s unfair to say they don’t care. Read the interview about the DLC - it was based upon the most popular workshop items. The biggest point is the toolkit coming out - that’s something (in a form) that people have been asking for since day one!

All that said, I would love an ocean biome which would hopefully be the least effort to work out.

I'd like such a map as well.

But I've been wondering. Water always needs a piece of terrain around it before you can fill it up.
Also water dissapears when certain objects interfere with it (paths for instance).
Replacing that water would be impossible if you don't have a bowl of terrain to fill.

However, this shouldn't be something that can't be overcome of course.
With some coding it should be possible to create a fixed water layer.

Well give us a Flatland. We raise the Terrain. Put water down. and then we got a ocean since the water is already a tiling texture it shoukd be possible. And really easy to implement. Guess no proper Islands for us :/

Don't get me wrong of course, I would love to have a lot of things requested here (like this particular request), but yeah, you can't always......
