please purchase/redeem elite dangerous to continue

Hello guys. I purchased Elite years ago and now i have PC that can launch it. But for some reason i cant.
Register account for the same email as Steam have and linked my account to steam. And now i have 2 problems:
1. When im starting launcher it says something like "You need to upgrade game" but i did, several times, restarted steam and even PC. Now i can launch it only from the folder with administrator rights.
2. When im trying to login it says "please purchase/redeem elite dangerous to continue" but i have Elite.

what am i doing wrong?

If you upgraded your game or if you were playing via Epic Games and now you play via Steam, you have to link your Steam account directly on Frontier-store website ----> https://www.frontierstore.net/ <--- log in to your frontier account and then click on "Partner Keys" on left menu and click "Sign in through Steam" (as in the picture)

Then you will see Steam login window, log in using your Steam account and then problem should be solved. On your frontier account you should see that info about your Steam account:

Right, while good advice it does come a bit late in the day as the OP asked the question in 2021...

If the OP hasn't fixed their issue by now I'm pretty certain they wouldn't still be trying to play now.

I'm with the same issue and your advice didn't solve it. I actually tried to relink the accounts and nope, I still don t have the right to play the game I bought. I already contacted the support but holy moly, I'll never put money on a frontier game again.
