Please Recommend an HCS Voice Pack for Voice Attack

Been messing around with Voice Attack for a few days. Slower than using the Saitek X52 Pro but it adds to the role-play immersion factor so I'm gonna buy it.

Which begs the question - what HCS voice pack would y'all recommend? I've gone to HCS and watched a few videos from various packs. Very impressive, very.

So what do y'all who have an HCS voice pack recommend and why?

ASIDE: don't bother recommending the Shatner Orion pack. It just ain't right to put the best ship Captain in the Star Trek Federation into a computer to be the <gag> lackey computer voice in a ship that might be piloted by any type from a scumbag pirate to an Elite bounty hunter. Nope just - not - right.

I went with Paul Darrow because his portrayal as Kerr Avon in Blake's Seven is awe inspiring. Be aware that setting up the sound packs can be more than a little frustrating. I personally gave up, pulled all the sound files out and built my own from scratch.

I agree as much as I am a fan of these actors, I couldnt imagine them as a mere ships computer or A.I.

The ones I use for immersion are:
Jazz, Leo, Mars, Astra, Minus, Verity, Kate, and Cleo. Astra is also personalized.

I use Verity as it meshes best with the ship's voice. Kate is another favourite of mine though, but I have to mute the ships voice to use her.

The profile and responses aren't as fully realised as some of the more established packs but Eden, no question. It's like having butter poured into your ears, in the good way obviously because who doesn't like butter.

Hmmmm...
I was under the impression from visiting the HCS site that installation was pretty much a no brainer.
If you wouldn't mind, please elaborate on the install/setup issues.

OH! and thanks for the recs, guys.

I own 14 of them but my own fav is Vasco, film quotes and music by Queen.

At the moment i'm flying with Cecil and Midnight, which is rather eventful..

Dont forget to get EDDI as well. It adds a lot more to the game

Edit: They are easy to install. Make sure they go into the voice attack / sounds folder

Its how they achieve immortality. Rather than letting them die in the 20th century, their essence was kept in storage until it could be used a thousand or so years later.
Shatner is my ship and I love it.

I have a few, it's pretty cool having Brent Spiner as the AI.

But yes, it's learning all the commands and remembering them all during the heat of the moment that is utterly frustrating. I suppose I could just ignore half of them, but then when it does work, it's infinitely satisfying to hear Data telling me we're about to go to warp...

LOL I totally understand that, but its not accurate. The Shat would refuse every order given by a commander, wrestle command of the ship, find the nearest alien and make out with her...

I use ASTRA because I can create any new sentence with IVONA (Amy). This is not possible with the real human voices.

I have Astra - i like becuase of the Steven Hawking quotes and Galaxapedia ect. I also have Leo with (Dave the dog and the ships cat) and Cleo - fan of Red Dwarf.

I use Leo the most as I think that its most fun. I use AsTRA if I have to spell out letters when using Galaxy map in VR.

After training the microsoft Voice recognition I don't have may issues - I'm from the north of England with a strong regional accent.

I think voice commands add depth to the game and are essential for VR though I use them outside of VR when I'm giving my eyes a rest or when i have to pay attentio to Real life.

Just started using Voice Attack recently and bought the Verity HCS pack.
It is quite good...Voice attack does have some issues with my accent (Aussie) though, so, quite aften I find myself yelling into the mike...which peeves the missus somewhat.

I just bought Astra today (there's a sale on right now for 50% off until midnight 26th Dec GMT), so can't wait to have a go at that when I get back into the cockpit.

Cheers

I use Verity because it's voice by the same person (Verity Croft I believe?) who voices the actual in-game ship voice already. So it matches pretty well and doesn't sounds like you have 2 AI's in your ship.

That's Windows having trouble, not Voice Attack. ;)

The Windows Speech Recognition Engine is what you have to train to get good results, voice attack just gets a text string from windows and tries to interpret it.
