One thing that many returning players may notice is that the dinosaur icons we have that covers dinosaurs from the previous game would actually utilize the silhouette of the render used to showcase that particular dinosaur in JWE1. The pentaceratops and apatosaurus ones seen in the previous post are based on the JWE1 renders you see below.
Since 3 of the animals in the pack are already from JWE1, that means we could use the JWE1 renders to base their new icons on, which I believe works better as it would be consistent with the way the icons were made for the returning animals.
The Stegoceratops and Spinoraptor have their icons ready if we go by this method, but the Ankylodocus may need a redo now that it has a new model in Jurassic World Evolution 2. By using the species viewer, I captured a pose that harkens back to the JWE1 render, and I also took a picture of the Spinoceratops mid-animation where it is rubbing its horn on the ground. Below are what I think would be icons that better suit the hybrids.
I modified the stegoceratops's horns to be a tad shorter, but these silhouettes work in favor of these animals.
I hope my critique of these icons does not come off as rude. I by no means want to disregard the efforts done by the developers when it comes to this pack, as I am overall really enjoying myself and I am loving the animation implemented to these animals, especially the Ankylodocus being such a major improvement and glow up with the surprise nuzzle animation it does with the ankylosaurus, that was a surprise that really left a great impression on me. I just believe the icons could be handled much better in order to reflect the animals implemented in this game. The silhouettes of these animals are striking enough, and seeing odd copy pasted vectors with odd edits dilutes the experience of attaining these hybrids.
