Please return the FAS's red cockpit clamps!

There was no need to take away the FAS' red cockpit clamps/brackets/whatever they're called. See the below screenshot of how they were in all their lovely 2.1 colourfulness:

Now they're just plain black and even lacking that textured surface they had before. Utterly horrible.

PLEASE don't downgrade our ships visuals, please return the colourful red clamps to the FAS' cockpit. It made the ship's interior unique and gave it a style all it's own! This is particularly essential in a ship that is basically a clone of two others (FDS and FGS) in terms of the cockpit. Please return the red clamps to the FAS.

#BringBackMyRedClamps!

EDIT:

Further research into the issue has led to the speculation that this might indeed be a bug. Special thanks to Fishy for finding out that both the Federal Assault Ship and the Federal Dropship cockpit frames have been replaced with the frames from the Federal Gunship.

Here is an updated comparison image of the FAS's previously red frames and the current frames it now has:

I'm not sure where I'm supposed to be looking.
The two 'beams' from the right and left of the cockpit's screen. I'll mark them out as I don't know how else to describe them:

A critical proble FD needs to fix right away !
Yes please, if they'd be so kind. The saying goes "If it ain't broke don't fix it." so now that they touched something that really, really, really didn't need to touched I'd be much obliged if they could simply revert these changes.

I don't know, but how is the cockpit looking from outside? Maybe they adjusted this because the model of the FAS is this way when viewed from outside? Else I totally agree with you

The lighting is so different in the two shots it's impossible to tell if the color difference is just lighting or not.
It's not the lighting, trust me. I've been flying the FAS as my main ship for the last 6 months. They are no longer red.

They never showed up as red when viewed from the outside of the cockpit. They were red only from the cockpit view. The cockpit module's wind shield frame from outside always appears as grey.

The shape is different too, and the FDS got updated with the same cockpit as you got in the FAS, with the fat outgrowth on the bottom strut. I've got the same as you now and checked my old screenshots, here's the old FDS cockpit:

There was never any red, but you'll notice the lines were the same thin ones you had before on the FAS. I guess Core Dynamics made a recall on those canopy models...

Now that you mention it; yeah they also added those fat outgrowths on the bottom of each strut. Did the colour also change for your FDS? I recall the FDS had metallic silver looking struts.

Wow the amount of detail that people notice never ceases to amaze me. In the grand scheme of things does it really matter?

When you spend a lot of time in a ship, you tend to notice small changes. Especially ones so blatant. Whether you like the change or not, it still stands out as clear as day.

Yeah it kinda does for me since this is the ship I fly the most and its visuals didn't need to be changed for the worst. In the "grand scheme of things" if they keep fiddling with things that don't need fiddling with like this maybe they might get to fiddling with something that matters to you as well.

Thanks for the thread bump btw :)

Got a hunch, but since I don't fly the FGS, I had to fish for a screenshot to check it out but there we go:

Check out the fat struts. Basically, it looks like FAS and FDS cockpit got replaced by that of the FGS, which may simply be a bug. Time to report it and see what happens.

As a side note, those are the worst canopy frames I've ever seen. No way are those bearing any weight.
