General Please Rework on Planet Tech

With repeating patterns of terrain..
Yep, just started messing around with 4.0 myself (yeah yeah, I'm late to the party), and already I'm finding these repeat patterns all over the place:

I get that they have a limited number of patterns to work from, so if I see this pattern on every 20th planet, one per planet, well okay. But why does Frontier use the same pattern over and over multiple times on the same planet? You can't help but see it if your brain has any wiring for pattern recognition at all. I must say, it's sad, because otherwise this planet would look pretty impressive and I'd be immersed in my exploration of space.

PS - I didn't go out looking for this. I was actually testing graphics settings, but I kept thinking "Something is off with this planet..." My subconscious identified this repeating pattern without me even trying to find it!

FD might argue on this. They can say we have the same terrain But rounded so your legs can reach there.

It's rounded because ED uses heightmaps for terrain generation and you can't do vertical properly, the next pixel has to be always offset from the preceding pixel, you can't have one directly above the other, this is also the reason we don't have overhangs and etc. The entire planetary tech would need to be reworked to fix this, not a small job, they did a rework with Odyssey, but it's still heightmap based and that's the underlying tech for planets. Can they change it without basically destroying and recreating the entire galaxy? Probably not.
