Please tell me when something is vandalized

It’s frustrating to have to constantly roam around and check every single education board and speaker to figure out where the buzzing is coming from. Especially when my zoo is overrun by complaints about the vandalized screens before I even notice. I don’t understand why there’s no notif or at the very least why mechanics can’t fix these themselves. Why do I have to manually replace them? Am I missing something or is this a problem for everyone?

I agree, its very hard to check up every small speaker , bench and bin. I wonder what repairman are for if they only fix fences lol. Why do they not fix broken stuff. Or make a heatmap showing all broken things on it.

At the very least a heatmap would be wonderful!! The speakers are such a pain when there’s no visible marker of them being broken.

To be fair the mechanics do have a lot to keep up on. But if either mechanics or even caretakers could replace the broken things, or even just notify us when they notice (a little notif message “a caretaker has noticed a vandalized item”) that would be immensely helpful.

Vandalism is a big issue in my zoo. I have cameras everywhere and security trained to level 5 but still continues to happen. I find it weird there isn't really anything for security like there was in Planco where you got the option to repair everything and could see how bad vandalism or pickpocketing was for the year.

The core problem of vandalism and many many other problems is the game spawns too many guests. The PC performance drops, the vandalism gets uncontrolled, guests getting hungry, thirsty, clogging my toilets and getting stuck on every corner. I want to appreciate every single guest in my park and not hate them. I want to have them 500 in my zoo, not 5000.

I have 5000 in my zoo and almost no vandalism. Funny enough I don't even have much security personnel... I think four or five guys.

Unfortunately I can't tell you why my zoo is different form yours.

I would love if they would add broken stuff to the "negative effect on guests" heatmap.

But I noticed having the security cameras near helped for me in areas where a lot of stuff got broken. soo.. maybe that helps? I dont even know if thats it tho.

In my first zoo I often had the broken items issue, but in the new zoo almost nothing broken, no litter, only 1 security guard... and between 4,000 and 5,000 visitors with a few very crowded areas.

The main difference between the 2 zoos: 9 shops and 5 toilets in the first zoo, 0 shops and 0 toilets in the second (and the visitors happiness is still all green except a very few orange). Maybe I'll never add any shops or toilets...

I used to have extensive problems with vandalism on the final mission in career mode - mechanics quit due to the constant stress. The toilet block had to be fixed and tv screens had to be fixed constantly, often within minutes of having been replaced or repaired. I removed litter bins and benches since they were destroyed all the time and annoyed guests. I did not find security cameras and guards noticeable helpful and mechanics often just walked past things that needed to be fixed. However, as far as I know power and water treatment facilities are safe from vandalism as long as they can only be reached through staff paths. Eventually, I realized that my problem was due to guests being and walking too close to staff facilities. They got angry and smashed things - the smashed things then made other guests angry ... Once I learned to put staff facilities on top of each other the game became much easier. I played through the entire campaign without learning that. The in game Help is informative, but in my opinion career mode should include more tips about how to deal with problems.

Edit: I forgot to mention that a probable cause was that I ended up with crowds basically stuck in places around the spawning area, guests that managed to get to the animals turned green but people stuck (understandable) seemed more likely to go yellow or red. Wider paths and a plaza area were very helpful. Once vandalism gets going it starts a negative spiral.

Yes! My mechanics are not repairing anything, every 5 minutes I need to check up on everything myself and replace everything that is vandalized.

I set one of my mechanics to ONLY handle vandalized stuff. The result? Most of their pie chart was idle. After a few years still had 0 repairs. Reassigned back to normal duty anx hoping it gets fixed next patch.
