please turn down the traffic light glare

This may be just me being a cumudgenly old git but i am begining to resent the traffic light system on the entrances to the stations
i apreciate there are a lot of new players who might need to have thier hand's held for a while but please do we have to have traffic lights

When i get in my car to go to work i have to stop and go at the behest of the traffic light gods but surely when i am trying to escape my day to day frustrations i shouldnt have to deal with the same thing in game.

I'd rather take the risk than follow some arbitary rule and in the same way that I'd love to go the wrong way round the car park at asda sometimes i am going to start going in through the out door

The lights have been there all the time. They just got set a bit brighter in a recent patch.

And as opposed to your car commute, you are free to ignore them anyway. ;-)

IMO, they are better now than they were . there are far more broken things in the game to complain about.
used to be they only came on when you were close.. and sometimes that was too late

They were them for ages (I think they were there when I joined in PB2). They got toned down some time ago and then turned back up recently. They help with directing the traffic, as there is no up, down, left or right in space - they indicate which side of the entry slot is the "in" side and which is the "out" side. Note they are reversed in the inside of the station as you leave.

I simply dont agree with how bright they are ... for me they are very distracting and make me think of the petty rules we have to follow in the real ... but like i said that may be just me being a grumpy old git

They are so bright now you can actually see the external ones from the inside. I don't know when that change occurred but its useful all the same.

I like them like this. The Coriolis station also has four red lights on the opposite side to the entrance - these could do with being made a bit brighter IMO.

Hi Woodstock,
As one grumpy old git communing with another.... I would point out that there are quite a number of good reasons to keep the red/green light system.... for instance are you aware that more than 40% of males are partially colour blind and around half of them are RED GREEN blind .... such people are only able to distinguish those primary colours by their relative contrast. So while the traffic light system may be an annoyance to your good self, it might be one of those things where you need to give the rest of humanity a break and accept that they might be needed. I however am one of those who get a perverse (even grumpy) pleasure from ignoring the traffic lights, blaze your own trail man.
