Pleeeeeeeease Frontier, give the Eagle two Utility Mounts!

Not much to say, the title describes my dismay. Wishing for a thing does not make it so, but I do wish with this, in hope.

Are the smaller craft almost going to be just stepping stones to the larger ones? I say this because in my opinion more than anything else, the activities and tasks one can achieve, are clearly improved exponentially with the more Utility Mounts the craft has fitted. I understand each craft has to have its cons to go with its pros, but in a nutshell, one can't really accomplish much spontaneously with just one mount for the numerous choices of scanner. At least in the Sidewinder you can fit a Kill Warrant and a Wake Scanner, to at least enable one to track a contact and get rewarded for it. With just one, it severely restricts one's intentions and subsequent achievement (instead of pretending you just got paid for the kill that entered the Anarchy System).

Thanks, I'm hoping others might agree and so posted this to alert Frontier, may I/we be so bold as to suggest a change?

If you agree, please say so in here, or perhaps if you don't please comment the reasons why.

With the greatest respect Frontier, I am simply very sad for the Eagle's sake, and mine because I like the nimble craft as much as the larger variety, but can't really use the Eagle for much.

All the best (he hopes)

Edit: I appreciate the posts below, but please no more suggestions implying "just buy the Viper". I've already got one thanks, and is not the reason for this post. One can do what ever you want in the Sidewinder for instance comparing it to the Viper, if you choose to. Simply the Eagle one can not. I'm suggesting it is just a shame no one will ever really use the Eagle because of this reason, its activities are severely restricted compared to all other craft, so will be ultimately forgotten.

I think I heard that the scanners were eventually going to end up all being internal compartments rather than going on the utility mounts. Not sure if that'll end up with a better or worse scenario for the Eagle...

Can't find the post now, so take with a grain of salt! :)

Eagle is a ship made for psychopaths. At least, if you intend to spend a great deal of trigger time in it. It's not meant to be a bounty hunting ship or a pirate ship, though it can perform these roles in limited capacity. The Eagle is an assassins ship, designed for heavy burst damage and low heat signature weapons and to be run without a shield generator to further reduce heat signature and increase speed. It is also a great kamikaze ship, so you can fly straight into the other CMDR's hull and blown them out of space.

If you want a ship made for bounty hunting then buy a Viper.

It's an interceptor basically if you have to classify it more specifically than "fighter". Quick, manouverable and as Cathalo says, high burst damage. If you're regularly in an extended engagement in an Eagle that requires you to have more than the one utility slot then you've done something very wrong.

That's a new one on me, it is quite hard to find the useful informative posts on here now since release with there being so many.

I can live with that, that would at least bring it in line with the Sidewinder.

Thanks for the heads up, I'll have a bit more scout about with that info.

I suppose we'll see!
