Pleiades Sector

Myself and my Type-7 have ended up in the 'Pleiades Sector' A CMDR who had run out of fuel here last night was offering to dump his rare goods cargo.

Anyway, this region is beautiful, am surrounded by this colorful Nebula and in orbit around a purple Class T Dwarf with dense rings (PLEIONE SYSTEM)

Has anyone been to this region? Am looking for a black hole, hopefully nearby, thinking of checking out the Aries Dark region. I plan to return to Fed space tonight and carry on hauling.

Yup, I was there 17 Dec at 0100UTC in my exploration-fitted Cobra. Pleione was a secret military mission in Frontier First Encounters, so I'd gone there looking for an Easter Egg, traces of Mic Turner's wrecked experimental ship perhaps, but found nothing. But considering we're about 250l-y outside inhabited space a number of systems in the Pleiades Sector require a permit, and there was a lot of pirate activity; I wished I'd packed a Kill Warrant Scanner. No sign of any black holes; you'd probably have to head for the centre of the Galaxy to encounter one of those, but that's about a hundred times further from inhabited space than the Pleiades. On my return to inhabited space I made about 250,000CR in exploration data with just an Intermediate Discovery Scanner.

Currently I'm at Mbayame and about to embark on a massive trek to the Orion Nebula, 1,100l-y distant, via the Witch Head Nebula, about 750l-y distant. Very many star systems in the Orion Nebula. I should return a wealthy man.

I saw two black holes in systems in the nebula. I can't remember the names though, however both were in systems with blue stars.

Yes, I was exploring the Pleiades around 16/12. It was a fantastic trip. Always wanted to go there.

Now, when I see the Seven Sisters off in the distance from my location back in populated space, it's a cool feeling. I flew around each star there, taking holiday snaps! :)

Wow, those are some great shots from in the Rift. I haven't been to that sector yet myself but it's definitely on the list. Seeing those images is making the wait for the CV1 even more difficult.

Yup, the galaxy has many beautiful places to see! :)

I left Leesti 4 hours ago in a Cobra, and have just visited the Pleiades and the California Nebulae.
I haven't seen any black hole in this area for now, but I'm enjoying the ride nonetheless!
Have found some interesting systems and planets and enjoying the views a lot. :)

My modules all have still over 95% health, so I'm just gonna continue this voyage and try to visit Witch Head, Orion, Barnard's Loop... not even thinking about travelling back to civilization as yet! :D

Just wondering what the devs might have in mind for the future; have found systems with permits in both nebulae...

I also went to Pleione. 45,000c for pleione's data when I got back to civilisation.

So I am not sure if that menas you guys get less money now that I've discovered it. Surely it shouldn't say "unexplored" for you since I've already explored itand this is supposedly a "dynamic galaxy" right?

Thought it was pretty cool that the nebula got bigger and bigger in each system as I got closer to it though :)

The black whole is in a system called MAIA, right near the center of the Nebula. Beautiful system, well worth a visit.

Oh, I visited Maia, but have missed that...
I think this screenshot I took tonight is from that system, a big one, but I didn't see the black hole, meeh:

I would guess it's been discovered several times now, 45,000 sounds like what I got for it when I went there last week ;). Given its role in FFE I imagine a fair few people went there looking for Thargoids like me :)

It's quite a way out from the main star, and pretty much impossible to see until you get fairly close, I guess the way to go would be look at the orbit lines for the brown dwarfs and head carefully to the middle. I'd probably not have tracked it down without the advanced scanner.

Wondering why you need a permit to enter a system that A. is so far away and B. uninhabited.

They have already explained that areas have been sectioned off for future content. I'm curious as to why no small remote outposts are near these major nebulae. You would think each faction would have a small scientific outpost nearby to study the Nebula.

I find brown dwarves fascinating. Give them rings and you have the reason why I play E: D.
...Out of context this could sound really awkward.
