Plotting a long jump with FSD boost

Is there a trick to plotting a jump that you can only make with FSD injection?

I can select it and slide it up to 3, and then it renders lines to the systems that are now in reach. But when I try to plot to one of those systems, I get "Route unavailable".

I wish the route plotter would take into account your current FSD boost status for the first jump in the route. It would make things much easier, no need to try to manually find a system at a good distance.

Don't plot. Just select the star and jump. There's no need for a route, it's just one jump.
I have the same problem, I can't plot a route despite the increased range, and the navigation panel does not show other systems, any solution?

Go in the GalMap, select the star (you have a specific button for that on the right vertical bar), return to cockpit view, press J or whatever key you have bound for Hyperspace jump
damn it works!!!!, i didn't know this way, thanks a lot!!!

Bumping this thread to say that this does not work right now. I am completely unable to use FSD injections. Not only can I not jump further than my normal range, the navigation panel is only showing ONE system 18 ly away when my normal, unboosted range is over 60. I'm near the edge of the galaxy right now and stars are sparse, but there are still half a dozen stars within my NORMAL jump range, and they all disappeared once I synthesized level 2 FSD boost.

It's like FSD injections cut my jump range to a third. This is bugged, pure and simple. I have to turn off "Use FSD injections" in my gal map to do ANYTHING other than jump to that one star 18 ly away. I am unable to target any other star. I cannot plot a route. I cannot see any other stars in my navigation panel. I have to turn off FSD boost in gal map and waste the synthesis just to be able to move.

Focusing target on a system within my jump range does NOT, I repeat, does NOT target it for manually jumping!

It's very frustrating.

You know you can target stars using the galaxy map, rather than the nav panel which only shows systems within a very limited range?

I cannot see any other stars in my navigation panel.

Nav panel as mentioned just shows very close stars, when you are in an area with few stars you won't see many and right down to none depending on how far apart the stars are, also you can't use the route plotter to plot a route using FSD boost. If you have star connectors turned on and generate a jumponium boost it should show you connectors out to the max range of the boost, see if that helps.

I haven't had a chance yet but I will test it out and see if I can reproduce you problems.

This is an issue I have had too. When you plot a long route, say 200 jumps, and you have boat loads of materials to be able to FSD injections to your jumps, you can't plot the route assuming you'll inject every time... rather, as said above, just do individual jumps. This is totally impractical when you're on a long route.

Perhaps a feature where you can plot these routes with FSD injections, but if you forget to boost before you jump you get the excess mass?

our last trip out we did a 200,000 ly + run and found over that distance the fsd jump really didn't save any time. was good for going high above or far below the galactic plane for the badge, but save it for that "oh crap" moment that we all will have sooner or later.

Yeah, got to keep in mind the time spent generating the FSD boost is longer for the higher level boosts, you can make two jumps in the time it takes to generate the Premium boost and jump and since it only doubles your jump range then it isn't worth using it to make long trips, just jump normally unless you are edge exploring.
