I've gotten a bit bored doing missions for the AEDC and while doing some searching looking for something else to occupy my time I stumbled "LOCKED" systems. Everyone is aware of "SOL", "SHINRATA" and for the most part "ALIOTH". There are many many more; Thus far I managed to locate an additional 12 which in addition to the ones I've already have makes for 28 locked systems in the bubble.
I believe that the plotter algorithm plots the shortest and fastest route depending on one FSD and on board fuel. I've read that on occasion, some player's have had issues plotting system's that to them and their configurations should be possible. I've also read where as a player can't plot a particular journey way out in the void because of the fact that there are area's of space that are locked.
My question is: Could the fact that one can't always plot a journey they wish because regardless of their FSD and or on board fuel. The shortest, fastest route the algorithm would or could plot, is through a locked system in the bubble. If yes, that would explain why one can not plot some systems way out in the void, which I've read has happen a few times.
However, it the algorithm does take into effect, and does plot them around locked systems in the bubble, then why doesn't it do it on extremely long desired journey out in the void?
