plotting routes that won't work

This sounds like you plotted a course with a partial tank of fuel and used fasted course plotting.

You then you filled up and the ship is now weighted down with more tons of fuel limiting your jump range and it is spazzing out cause you plotted a course, but now you are too heavy to make the jump, and one of the jumps was at the limit of the light weight, but too far for the filled weight.

if he has a maxed out explorer and is just 1700 LY from inhabitated space, I'd be surprised if the route planner really ran into that problem.

I never, ever encountered that problem in my 40 LY jumping Anaconda.

Wouldn't you be far less likely to experience that issue with a long range compared to a ship which is likely to have a shorter range?

@Datum010 - rather than it ing you off, why not calmly and politely raise a bug with screen shots to FD? It may get sorted quicker that way.

The other option is to actually read the comments about manual plotting to get to a different region, but if they just want to whinge and gripe so be it. :(

We discovered Tthe Americas without a 'Route plotter' by accident (It fact with a route plotter we'd never have found it...) a few centuries back, maybe it's a lost skill these days, it also helps explain why you get people solely relying on their Satnav as they drive off a cliff/into a canal these days. <Facepalms>

If the Mods want to speak to me or the OP feels I've offended them fair enough. Happy to resolve it, but look above how many people have tried to help but the actual useful advice from everyone; it's just seemingly been ignored. "As clicking the Route plotting button" doesn't work... <sigh>

I have had the same issue and have had to abandon my jobs because of it...As Of last night I couldn't even plot right next to me, so I just stopped playing. I will wait until there is another update or patch before I log back in.
