Plotting Routes with Supercharged FSDs

Is it only impossible to plot a route using the galaxy map following an FSD boost in the tail of EG: a White Dwarf...
I get a Maximum Distance Exceeded" flag when I try to plot a route and have to plot a single route manually...
Which it lots of ways - particularly with White Dwarves (50% boost) seems to negate the "speed up travel" element...its quicker to just do two standard jumps than charge up your FSD...manually identify and en-route system and plot to it AND then go back and plot a traditional sequence of jumps once your "charge" is gone...just for an extra 20LY range...

If you already have a plotted route and come upon a neutron star or white dwarf, you can select a star on your plotted route that is within range of your jump, complete the jump and continue on your plotted course.

For example, I have a >54Ly jump range. I jump into a NS and charge up to a 216Ly max jump for me. So I go to the Gal Map and select the star in my route 4 jumps ahead which is usually ~206Ly on average.
I make my jump and continue on as usual.

EDIT: I forgot to mention, when you select your "jump ahead" star in the plotted course, use the pointer (first) icon, not the course plotting (second) icon, else you plot a new course to the star.

It could be better and I've asked FDev for a skip ahead key binding to simplify the process, but it's up to them to decide if it's a good idea or not.

If you are trying to plot a route after receiving a boost or performing an FSD injection, than yes, the route plotter won't work and you'll have to plot manually.

However: if - before you boost - you select "fastest route" and check the "jet cone boost" option on the galaxy map, then the route plotter will look for nearby neutron stars and/or white dwarfs and include them (plus the increased range) in your route. FSD injection materials remain single-jump only, though.
