General / Off-Topic (Plz) Stop being intolerant of questions

People should stop moaning about unoriginal questions, not all of us have been here since the forum or game started. Ok there's a search function but it does take patience to get results so give people some leeway. I'm sure you lot don't want to look like a bunch of jerks or anything, some people can't help it I know but there you go.

I'd say "stop complaining about complaining", but that isn't particularly original either.

Personally I enjoy the game, and read the forums for information and entertainment value.

There are no stupid questions, only stupid answers

Veronica Sawyer: This may seem like a really stupid question...

J.D.: There are no stupid questions.

Veronica Sawyer: You inherit 5 million dollars the same day aliens land on the earth and say they're going to blow it up in 2 days. What do you do?

J.D.: That's the stupidest question I've ever heard.

I wish I was English like my hero Tj.
Changed the title to be a little less inflammatory and moved to off-topic, as it's not exactly related to the game. Otherwise, yeah, please be tolerant and understanding. Goes without saying, or it should.

Given that the search feature results in no results because search terms need to be fairly specific and we don't all use the same vocabulary, it's not really fair to blame people just because a question was asked last year and often replied to with (my favourite response by far): 'XX issue was discussed and settled'.

Generally I don't care about that myself and don't reply to necro threads either - dead longer than a month or so. But the general tone on these threads is pretty bad anyways over certain issues. I myself dislike the frequent Steam threads, the threads to nerf the game even though it's already easy mode, the threads to make everything easier of more automated.

But other threads such as how to use game features, how to see certain information, how to learn the mechanics of the game should each be responded to as though it were the first time being asked. To some people it can be a lot of information and an odd UI to learn and not many people will suffer through the out-of-game tutorial. A generous answer will encourage better game play and better habits here and in the game.
