I many years ago doing graphics and the story and John Welsh doing the programming made a PDA version of Elite where a dark ship coming from Raxxla in the end game was designed to make the hairs on the back of your neck stand up! We got positive reviews from all the game magazines at the time but couldn't get Frontier per their copyrights approving the release. Personally it was a big mistake on their part making millions while me and John might have made some money with the release. But it wasn't about money creating it loving the game.
Anyway here is the website and you decide was it about money or the love of the game! Maybe after completing the project at the time knowing that we nailed it both...
