POI with buildings issues.

POIs that feature buildings are some of the nicest things to come across , but the fact that they are random and will vanish the second you get too far away from them does hurt the immersion and gameplay of those areas.

I dont know if it would be possible to have them be persistent , or at least semi persistent (every X amount of days they are re-gened?)
Having them be persistent could open up so much intresting visuals as well.

Mineral rich extraction planet? lots of mining outposts
Civilian world? lots of civilian type buildings
Military? lots of military themed ones

I guess this would be a lot of work , but I think it would be something that could help the game a lot.

Another issue is the way they are treated by the BGS as being neutral or just generic baddies.
They are never on your side , never against you but they are wanted at all times.

If they could be persistent have them be tied to the closest port. with chances to have them be independent at times.

I know this is a lot to ask for , and maybe something stupid but often I feel that elite does a lot of things right but misses out on some of the more traditional things if that makes sense.

One thing I've suggested before is that the PoI/Mission Specific Buildings should be persistent for as long as the player who discovered it leaves the system. The player, and anyone who shares the same instance, would then be able to interact with the Building even if they travel far away and then come back to that spot later.

I have also suggested, elsewhere, that these buildings should have a means of interacting with them that will grant you "off-board" missions.....most likely somehow connected to what kind of building you've discovered.
 
I totally agree with this and I think when things are temporarily generated like this, they should incorporate it into the lore. They could say that these bases are in fact temporary, and maybe that they're 'dropped' or take no time to construct/deconstruct (like Hoth). The type of operations at said locations would be covert/unknown to many, and always being moved around. But yeah, I'd say they should last a week or 2? Doesn't have to be too long, but more than 1 second it's here, next login it's gone.
