Point defense?

Point defence?

Anybody know anything about the point defence system?

I'm assuming they just destroy incoming missiles yeah?

I've got four of them and it only shows two activated. in my fire groups I can see extra squares but they have no name and I can't scroll down to them?

Yeah those are the point defence systems. They're bugged right now and personally I wouldn't bother getting more than one.
They also seem to target small ships.

One thing the PD system likes to do is override your fire groups and assign itself to one.
Usually selling it and buying it again is enough to fix it, or you can just create a different fire group and never use the one with the PD in it.

workaround: when buying new weapons, don't set up the firegoups.
buy -> log out -> log in-> set up firegroups.
never had an issue again since i'm doing it this way (the weapons get "sorted" on relog).
