Can we please stop with the police brutality. It's not my fault some bonehead decided to cross in front of me in the middle of a dog fight and he took one bullet to his "shields". The instant must kill the perpetrator attitude towards a pilot over a 300 credit fine is just not worth them beating on me.

300Cr fine is minimal and easy to pay off. If you were in a fight that a police officer tried to stop and you accidentally punched that officer in the face, they would arrest you for it. (not the best analogy but you get point).
It's fine as is. Most people don't shoot ships accidentally. I have only shot one police ship since I started back in the private Beta. I payed the fine and continued on my way. If there are multiple ships in your location be more cautious with your shooting.

BTW, I agree with police brutality, you blow up one little eagle for charging you 190c for accidental shooting him while HE flew in front of YOU (damn cops need some situation awareness, idiots, I mean would flys through a damn beam laser. I was chasing perfectly legal bounty here, cause these guys are too lazy to scan and do it themselves, or too busy eating doughnuts from spacy's...) and the next thing you know you're popping cop cockpits like there's no tomorrow (omg I killed three cops...) and then they start charging you 4950c per cop.
Well it is good to know that a cop's life is worth less than 1/10 of the eagle he flew... or perhaps they were just charging for the eagle insurance. Their insurance rates must be through the roof by now. Their cockpits pop like bubble wrapping.
