At Nav beacons and RES, when bad people do bad things, the coppers turn up and help (I make sure my report crimes is on if I'm taking on the big boys, off if I'm hunting lower value targets).
Been interdicted in "safe" (high security) systems whilst testing how the danger has improved out there today - the police didn't respond even once - I was interdicted by both NPC and players and fended off my attackers over quite a period and the cops didn't show - so, my questions are:
a) is anyone else getting police support?
b) are we supposed to?
Leads me on to thinking about the easy escape mechanic for interdiction. Interdiction is a crime in secure areas - report crimes being on, one would assume that it is reported. On that basis, and if crime reporting was working and the police were responding, surely the devs could make running away from interdiction a little harder. i.e. you have to hang on like mad until the cops turn up, or take a kicking whilst escaping.... If they came with a mop up crew to help you repair any damaged modules, would be even better.
In low sec systems, anarchies and the like, you wouldn't get the police response, so you'd be "on your own" to try and run if you could.
Would make a big difference.....
