Ke$ha references aside, I discovered in the most unfortunate way possible that FEDERAL SECURITY SHIPS are now present in a recognized Anarchy system. O.O
I had chosen that system specifically for its complete absence of police and its proximity to Federation, Empire, and Alliance systems. The leading faction is loyal to the Federation and always has been, yet until now it did not enforce the Federation's laws - that appears to have changed now, even though the system still comes up as Independent on the galaxy map and is considered an Anarchy system. They even shut down the primary starport's black market.
It's been fun for roleplaying reasons, but I'm wondering what mechanics/reasoning are behind this change, if any. Now more than ever I'm wishing it were possible to trigger a civil war and bring real anarchy back.
