Imperials always lose these CGs, so they're trying to even the odds. Without 1.7 players fighting for the Federation, maybe the imperials have a chance this time.

We can't keep letting this happen (the federation blockading things it wants to keep for itself)
hopefully even some of the federation sympathetic CMDRS will realise these actions are against the pilots federation (the players)

Every Super Power has a faction presence in Maia, and there are several other Independents, so my question is my is it a Federation vs Independent being touted as Federation vs Empire.

And why is no one else opposing the Federation's PRE securing control of all the Pleiades?

Apparently they haven't read GalNet or Palin's breakthrough with (presumeably) shield technology. Instead they want to keep pledging to Aisling for Prismatics instead of help Palin out.

They win because the majority of players side with the federation because the way to climb the ranks in the power play is by combat (mostly).
