I've hung up my combat wings. Get enough frantic PvP and PvE combat in ESO these days.

With that said, I am putting much more focus into my trade flights as a result.

I would like to ask you to declare which configuration would lead to potentially more stories. The two options are as follows:

#1. 20t cargo, C4 fuel scoop, C2 AFMU, Advanced Docking Computer (ADC), Detailed Surface Scanner
#2. 20t cargo, C4 passenger cabin, C2 fuel scoop, ADC, Supercruise Autopilot

Both configurations are obviously for a Cobra Mk III.

#1 would be a long distance trade ship, able to deliver goods literally anywhere and navigate those areas.

#2 would be a bubble-bound cargo-passenger hybrid with limited long distance capability.

So, which would you pick?

None of the above to be honest but something closer to #1 is probably closer to what I would want.

Why would you need a DSS on a ship like this? The DSS is fairly expensive and when you want to trade - commodities or rare goods, no matter what - I think you have no need at all for a DSS. Maybe a SC-Assistent instead of the DSS would serve you better?

For your ship #1 I would build something like this: Coriolis-Link. It has 24 tons cargo. Also I am not sure why you would need an AFMU?

There are stations outside the bubble. Stations need commodities. I'm nuts enough to fly 22k LY for a 200cr/ton profit. May as well give the ship full exploration capacity while we're at it.

I take it you're committed to using just the one ship. But what's your position on alternative loadouts for different roles?

Difficult to switch modules way out where. ;)
Most (I can't swear all, but certainly most) deep space stations have Outfitting, and if you have Outfitting you can fetch modules. You might have to be patient, but if your core build is exploring you can always explore while you ship in stored cargo racks or passenger cabins if there are none available locally.

Why the ADC and cruise control?
You've been here long enough you don't NEED them, so they are a luxury item.
Why would you put them on a trade hauler, whatever the range? they eat into your cargo and/or defence. If you were new or had issues with approach/docking, then fair enough, but you aren't... you're an experienced combat pilot.
