Would like to see ED devs comment on space and atmospheric effects (during planet landings or launches) due to eclipses, shadows, various planetary gases.. and Slingshotting around planets.. Here's a vision of the upcoming rare event as seen from Earth this year in 2014 starting next tuesday.. The Tetrad of Four Blood Moons.. as noted on NASA's site..

For those who want to see some recent ideas on how to pilot a ship in different ways within a system.. these diagrams discuss system navigation and shows slingshot jumps near atmosphere levels of a planet..
Now an image that explains the red corona coming from earth which covers the moon in red.. and another image of what Earth looks like if you were standing on the moon - in which you can see every sunset and every sunrise at the same time! A corona effect on earth.. and the right side of earth are the sunrises... (as viewed from moon looking toward sun, with earth in the middle and north pole upwards.. )
