Poor Binturong, what did they done to you ?

Planet Zoo 3D modelers are amazing and always did great job.

Except (in my opinion) for this creature : https://www.instagram.com/p/CM2P8Ybj9Bx/
Like many others, I'm a bit surprised. Ok, I understand a messy animal like Binturong could be hard to make with actual fur shader. Why not.
But the shape of the head is totally incorrect, the second pair of ears is absolutly weird and they look too "round", fluffy.

Are you agree ?
Do you know if it has ever happened that they retouch their model before the release of a pack?

P.S. Btw, all the other animals showed look absolutly great <3

This is the first time that a model looks so bad in a dlc pack so no other example. However in the base game there are animals who need a remake (Male lion, Bactrian Camel) but after a year nothing has changed yet, the male lion is always cartoonish and the camel is tall as a keeper, so i don't think we will ever officially see updates from Frontier on the models and i think the binturong will remain the same.

Totally agreed, the person who designed the binturong clearly had never seen one beforehand lol. It's like they tried to make it look all rounded and cute looking, but it doesn't look like a binturong in real life.

What's with the ears? The design makes it look like the critter has four of them instead of the stiff, black hairs growing from the back. Other things aren't quite right either--eyes with round pupils, too fluffy etc.--but the ears were the first thing that jumped out at me. Made me think of those unusual cats on the web that really do have four ears.

I saw this thread before I saw the screenshot, so I was really braced for something, you know, actually ugly and bad... but after seeing Frontier's binturong I think I'm going to say this response seems a little dramatic. I agree that the ear tuffs aren't well pulled off with the shader and I think that's a pity and hopefully might be reworked at a later date, but apart from its whiskers being a bit sparse (personally would have loved some more elaborate, vibrantly white ones) and its snout being a little thin, the screenshot looks very much like a binturong to me--at least, insofar as any animal in the game looks like its real life counterpart. Unless there's something I'm missing?
